After 3 weeks I could not see any improvement in smell or air quality. I like it in a 2 bedroom apartment and use it in my living room. I have a dog and a few other pets, as well as people downstairs who smoke so many different substances that they can get in through the vents and under the front door. I bought first aid for it. I even bought a pet filter for better dander and pet odor control. The smells haven't abated, and in fact there's a brand new, slightly pungent smell coming from the unit itself. The fan runs at such high power that I have to turn on the TV to hear it. smaller room to see if it was just the size of the room but no improvement, in fact the pungent smell coming from the unit was more noticeable. My allergies are just as bad. Overall very disappointing.
