Review on DIY2 Burlap Banner - Loew-Cornell American Crafts 369002 by Amanda Castillo

As a buyer of soft pastels, I have some experience with these products. I bought these to use as a student for some of the courses I take and didn't want to use my more expensive Rembrandt and Sennlier pastels in class. All the pastels I bought online have arrived in perfect condition except for this purchase. The packaging was inadequate and the pastels fell off the tray. They arrived at my house today in a complete mess and a few parts are broken. Also, these are not half-size pastels at all. They're only 1/3 or smaller than the size you think you're buying, making them even cheaper than you think. I want to return the money! UPDATE: While everything in my original review is still correct, I have to comment on the actual performance of the pastels myself, having been using them for a while. I have to say these are really good pastel colors for the price. Definitely a student pastel, but much richer in color and softer than the pastels from the student brand ProArt. Would I buy them again? Yes, I would buy them again for future use in pastel classes. However, I would never use them for more serious work.
