Really good cables at a good price. The Revain photo doesn't show that it actually comes with two cables. A DVI/USB cable shown. The host end of the video cable has a large RF choke, which is undesirable from a routing and connection perspective, but likely reduces RF interference. Microphone/speaker audio cable with pink/green connectors on each end (not shown). The audio cables are also good and worth the price even if you ditch the video cables. It's probably because the video cable has premium dual-link DVI-I connectors on both ends that these cables are so cheap. (Check out the "DVI" Wikipedia article for a full explanation and some nice diagrams.) That means the cable supports both analog and digital DVI signals up to 2560 x 1600, which is great. But trouble is heaven if your graphics card only supports DVI digital connections, as many do. In this case, you will find that you cannot connect the cable to the back of the computer, since there are 4 additional pins sticking out in the cable connector for analog signals, and there are no corresponding holes in the graphics card connector to connect them. in. The two just won't connect without surgery. If you are desperate, you can try to pull out the extra pins or cut them off. If you are very careful and very lucky this should work and it is fully electrically kosher. However, if you're unlucky, you could break or short out the wires elsewhere in the cable, rendering it inoperable and potentially damaging connected devices. I have a small complaint. The end of the USB cable on the host side is the same length as the end of the video cable. Depending on the connection method, if you want the video port to support the weight and the USB port to have slack, this may mean that the USB port supports the weight of the video cable. To work around this, you can twist the video cable into a tight loop and secure the loop with some zip ties. This effectively shortens the video cable so that it now supports the weight. It's a kludge, but I've done it often enough with other cables.
