Review on πŸ”§ Effective Printer Nozzle Clog Remover for Hardened Extruders by Nathan Tsugawa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far, so good. on 3D printer extruders

I print mostly PETG, sometimes PLA on my main standard CR-10 S5 + BLTouch. The printer came with 0.4mm brass nozzles only. I've heard that going up to 0.6mm on PETG really helps and I think they're right. I've only used a .6 hardened steel point from this set so far, but I really like the result. I haven't had any clogs, even when the first layer on my magigoo + kapton printable surface was very firm. I see fewer strings than standard 0.4mm brass. Not visible under extrusion even at a layer height of 0.4 mm. It's fairly easy to clean debris from the nozzle between prints. The surface of the top layer isn't as smooth as the 0.4mm, but that's probably to be expected with the larger size compared to the problem with these tips specifically. My only criticism, and it's minor, is that the surface can only be gripped from 2 sides with a wrench, not 6. This makes it a bit more difficult to get the right angle for the nozzle. One small note again, but maybe they'll be changed to a full hex in future production. run.
