Ordered these to make cooking easier and was not disappointed! They are just the right size for breakfast, lunch or dinner smoothie bowls, salads or any protein/vegetable/grain dish and I used two of these yesterday upon receipt to make pan roasted balsamic Brussels sprouts and zucchini/onions / pick up the yellow pumpkin. Perfect for a variety of cooking options! I don't have a microwave in my kitchen, so don't plan on blowing it up, although I think you might. Also, our dishwasher gets really hot, so I just wash it in the sink, no big deal. I think any plastic container will last longer. As for the sealed parts, I don't plan on taking them any further than fridge to counter, so that won't be a problem for us. They stack up great and yesterday I filled them up nicely with roasted veggies. If you're taking them to work etc I'd suggest just wrapping them in a decent rubber band for insurance reasons like you would any plastic container, maybe put it in a gallon ziplock (which you rinse out and reuse! ) it lies flat on the floor of your car. Just common sense is a plastic container and for the money saved by using it, a few simple steps to keep it from leaking seems worth it to me! I would and probably will buy more of these in the future.
