Review on Effortlessly Remove Popcorn Ceiling with ๐Ÿฟ MAX Strip Popcorn Ceiling Remover 1 Gallon by Luis Baker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best product for needlework! on paint remover

I used 2 jars of MS Popcorn Remover to remove the old texture from our tub. The product is excellent. For ease of application I have learned to apply 2 coats liberally, in THICK coats, cover with plastic and not clean the soaked area after 4-12 hours as the packaging suggests BUT after more than 24 hours. I left one patch on for 3 days and it was so easy to remove. The scrubbing process has a twist. I've had great success using a 3 inch paint scraper and working in a fan pattern. Areas above the raw drywall were a little more difficult to remove than previously primed or grouted areas that peeled off in sheets. Product cleaning with warm water is easy. The product has a strong, pretentious smell, similar to ModgePodge, which is easy to live with compared to other drywall dust smothering options. I learned a basic MIL. Plastic is all you need. Cheap fabric from the dollar store or even cut plastic bags from retail stores for small sections worked best. My highest mil. The plastic was so heavy that I felt compelled to use masking tape to prevent it from falling off and affecting the performance of this product. I've had personal success working with the Max Strip popcorn remover and removing it in small sections of 3 x 4 at a time, softening multiple sections at once in different parts of the room. It was easier on the back, arms, neck and the mental aspect of the great conquest project. I would recommend it to everyone!

Pros
  • Will not damage drywall
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
