I am a professional home handyman and ordered this tool bag to save me the hassle of lugging home a large 50 pound professional tool bag. And that's not even counting my drill bucket, electrical box, etc. I probably only used 20% of the tools I carried about 90% of the time. After watching a commercial service technician carry an open-topped tool cart and then retrieve additional tools from his truck as needed, I thought about getting this 18-inch open-top rack. . While this is a very good product, it's too big for my needs, when I'm tempted to fill it with all the pockets I'm back to my old problem of carrying a bigger and heavier load. So after getting the 18" and realizing it was huge, I've since bought the 14". I think for a homeowner the 18" might be the best as it allows you to have most tools in one place including a drill etc. I had a hard time deciding between 14" and 18" the first time around and hopefully I will may my experience help someone else in making a decision. It makes sense to simply be TOP regardless of the size of the tool trolley made by DeWalt.
