This POTANE vacuum sealer replaced my original FoodSaver I bought 20 years ago. With many vacuum sealers on the market. I had to spend some time researching brands and reviews. Going through the reviews was a painful process. Trying to get genuine reviews and report fake ones. I chose this POTANE vacuum sealer. First, my original FoodSaver had 2 modes. Hold down the start button until the Foodsaver stops. Or with a large tumbler sealing adapter with the same "press and hold" button. The POTANE vacuum sealer options are great. I can simply close the bag, simply vacuum it or choose automatic. I really like the easy way to close it. I couldn't use the last 10 feet of bag rolls with my old FoodSaver. The only way to use the entire roll was to seal the bag and then unroll it. Glue the other end and fold it back. Now I can adjust the seal strength to my needs. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUSH BOTH CORNERS DOWN TO ONE CLICK. If you don't do this, the seal will not work properly. DO NOT STORE GASKET WITH CORNERS CLOSED. This will deform the heater element seal. This car is great. but I can't stress this enough. "PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS" Most of the negative feedback was due to people not following the instructions.
