Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Creality 3D Tempered Surface: High-Quality 310X310X4Mm Printing Bed by Rich Ferguson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I had gotten it sooner.

I had a CR10 and used the Peopoly print surface I got direct from them which was pretty good but became less effective over time. When I replaced the CR10 with the CR10 I got a different peopoly printable surface but through Revain and it didn't seem to work as well as the one I had before. I eventually got so frustrated with this that I went back to tape and glue stick, but it didn't take long for me to remember why I was trying to find alternatives to this method. So when I was looking for a new print surface solution I came across two that sounded interesting but ultimately decided to give these a try and was glad I did. It was packaged well and was a perfect replacement for the glass plate that came with the printer. I have used this for 5 prints so far and it has worked flawlessly. A few large items, medium-sized items, and a print of 100+ individual small pieces all stayed in place during printing, and once the bed cooled, the pieces came off with little to no effort with my bare hand. It's pretty darn cool that you don't have to use glue to glue the part or later try to scrape the part off the platform with a tool. One thing I don't like is that this printing surface has to cool down to remove the printed part, so it's not possible to quickly remove the finished part and immediately start a new print. The platform must be completely cool before the part can be removed, which means you have to wait for the print surface to warm up again. While I find the cooldown a bit annoying since I no longer have to print the raft, it saves me time overall. I also increased the print surface temperature from my previous preferred temperature of 45 to 55, making it appear as if heat activated. Didn't try to see if it would still successfully hold the part at a lower temperature. Simply put: an amazing 3D printing surface and I definitely recommend it!
