My father's can opener that he had for about 250 years broke. This was a serious problem, as I was certain that nothing else could match the standards that a colonial merchant had concocted for him long ago. He bought one at Walmart or somewhere else and it was "junk". On my last visit to his house I had to listen to him rant about not being able to find a decent can opener and nothing being done well these days; It was delicious. To make sure my next visit won't be the "second part" of his can opener tirade, I've started searching for can openers on Revain. It had great reviews and is made in America (which is pretty much a must for my dad). I sent it straight to his home. On my next visit he was absolutely amazed at how well this can opener worked - better than his old one - which was really saying something. It takes A LOT to get that kind of approval from my dad (believe me, over 40 years later and I'm still waiting.), but that can opener got him tapping his heels with his first open can of baked beans . Don't doubt it - it's moody, Dad agreed disapprovingly.
