I installed this on my 30 gallon Craftsman. Vertical compressor to replace the OEM drain plug. The OEM drain has an internal baffle that catches debris (possibly surface rust) that constantly clogs the drain, forcing me to remove it to clean the drain on the compressor tank. This fitting has a simple ball valve. When open, there is enough space and airflow to blow out both water and sediment, keeping the drain clean. It's going to be noisy and spray a lot because it's wide open, but that's what I needed.
