Review on 🌟 Relieve Tension and Enhance Flexibility with Stamina BackTrac Back Massager by Nancy Bryant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For an AS patient, this really helps me.

I have ankylosing spondylitis. I've had this condition since I was a teenager. I've tried everything to get relief in the mid-thoracic upper back where I have the fusion of the two discs. I got worse with yoga, Pilates doesn't help, rollers don't help. Hot baths and heating pads work for a while, but relief takes a long time to come. I'm even on immunosuppressants and it only lasts a few days. I feel very stiff and sore most of the time, which is why my rheumatologist suggested I try a myofascial relaxation massage this year. I have not had good experiences with massages and they make me worse. I can really only stand a massage for about 10 minutes or more, and lying still hurts a lot. I came across BackTrac while searching Google for products that do the same thing as myofascial release and thought I'd give it a try since it's only $80. Now I use it a few times a week for about 5 minutes. This is the first device that really helped me deal with pain and stiffness. It works very well on my upper back and very well on my lower back. But it doesn't help my throat. I am lucky as a patient with AS, my throat is not affected like others. I can hear my joints clicking on the BackTrac and the pain and stiffness subside. I'm also lucky that I'm not as wacky as some with AC and I can still get up and down slowly off the floor. I'm taking it to my nearest rheumatologist to show my doctor. I'm curious to see if we'll get X-rays, if there's a change or slowdown in the fusion progress in my discs, or if I'll be taller again as this disease has shrunk me two inches. Now I wish I could find something similar that would help my arthritis plagued feet too!

Pros
  • BackTrac offers acupressure to relieve trigger point pain, deep tissue massage to improve muscle function and gently stretches the spine
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
