Louder over time Suitable for exhaust systems and parts

I bought a pair of these for my 70's Chevy C20. I liked them at first, but over the last few months my exhaust has gotten a little louder. Took them off and found they were leaking at the seams. You're not even a year old. Inexpensive yes, but I can't say quality for the money.
