Bought two of these and they are exactly what I was looking for. I had one of these on a similar product from Cabelas that appeared to be low quality stainless steel. There was a mark on the pad. I bought the 18oz classic and the cap fit too tight, compressing the seal a bit on the side opposite the hinges. I bent the two vertical loops on the side just next to the bottle about 1/16 inch (1 mm) using regular pliers. Now the lid fits perfectly. The one from the Cabelas bottle I used to replace the cap with an old, clean bottle. Shabby blue colored model. They strip the paint around the rim and can scratch the bottle but it goes well with all the scratches and dents showing this is a very popular bottle. I also had to adjust this cover in the same way as the others. This lid has also been moved back a bit. I slightly increased the angle of the hinge where it comes off the lid and now it's centered. These cases are great. and i hope i was able to help all those who had ill-fitting closures. I just wish I could see some spare seals so I can get rid of the ones with the metal marks on the bottle of Cabelas that went in the bin. .
