Review on Mijello Mission Gold Water Color Set: Discover the Vibrant Palette of 34 Colors by Dawn Fischer

Please note: I ordered from this listing and received the Asian version of this set which contained a few different colors than those listed. The Asian set has neither white nor black, which I prefer. These colors are the most vibrant watercolors I've ever used (I usually use D Smith, M Graham, or Holbein for reference). They are easy to re-wet, mix well and go on smoothly. Despite their brightness, you can easily tone them down and mix in some great neutral colors. The only color I've noticed that shows graininess is Ultramarine. I'm deducting a star for using unorthodox or foreign pigments. However, this is a personal preference. I didn't do any lightfastness tests. I would recommend this set if you're just starting out and haven't built your own set yet, or if you're a collector like me. This is a great price - less than $3 for a 15ml tube for some quality paint!
