So I ordered this on a whim while it was on sale I needed a cheap humidifier. I was expecting this Death Star humidifier to be a bit larger, but it worked for use on the table next to me. It's pretty small; only slightly larger than a softball (or the size of a regular catch ball). With no USB ports (fan or flashlight), it looks like a cute mini white death star on your desk, firing nebula instead of a world laser. When you add one of the USB apps it looks silly; like a synthetic plant growing on the back of a mini Death Star. Has 2 fog modes; continuous and graded. Continuous obviously creates a steady mist until it dries. Staggered triggers a 2 second burst of fog approximately every 510 seconds. Continuous mode only takes about 4 hours from full to empty. Gradual mode extends this to around 6-7 hours. In any case, it needs to be refilled quite often. The USB port is connected to one of the buttons for switching on and off and can theoretically be used to charge the device (in any case without fast charging). Pressing and holding the indicated button toggles on (and off) the built-in softly glowing RGB lighting. I don't need a USB night light as I have a suitable dedicated lighting stand that I can control remotely. I use the included USB fan to "throw" the fog further when the unit is running. My problem is that the fan hangs over the fog ejector and spreads the fog unevenly (since the fog is thrown straight onto the wings) and also really makes it look like a silicon flower growing from behind. I ended up buying an Artic USB fan (https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Breeze-Mobile-Flexible-Portable/dp/B003XN24GY/) to replace it, and although it still looks like a flower , which grows from the Death Star, it is quieter and less likely to rust the engine since it is not in the fog spray zone. Ultimately it seems to work for a personal desktop humidifier but it seems somewhat useless as USB ports are semi useless. , and the weight is fairly light when empty, causing me to knock it over and roll it a bit a few times. 4 stars for now; depending on how long it takes.
