I'll admit, I was a bit concerned at first. I laid my straight edge across the surface and could see light shining through underneath. However, I used my smallest feeler gauge (0.015" / 0.04mm) and couldn't slide it under the straight edge anywhere. Is it flat within .0025mm as they claim? Probably not. It's definitely better than 0.04mm though and that's perfect for my needs.
