Review on Single Hand Mixing Valve Ceramic Cartridge by Michael Richardson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ok installation problem and some parts are not compatible

This mixer valve did not come with the correct parts to install in my old Grohe LudyLux Cafe kitchen faucet. Came with a very long and a short main screw. I had to use the same long screws from my old valve. I also had to use old gaskets, which is undesirable. Although the valve appears to be symmetrical, it will only be properly tightened when the outer cap is properly seated on one side. It took me quite a long time to figure that out. It took some time to remove the cap around the valve as the hex screw was very tight and had never been removed, but this was not a valve fault. I still have occasional dripping water from the tap, which is also new. If I turn the faceted neck left and right, the dripping stops. I'm worried it might be due to using old seals but I had no choice as the seals that came with the new replacement valve were different and the valve probably wouldn't fit.
