Review on JBJ Protein Skimmer Aquarium 14 Inch by Nikki Williams

In less than a year I replaced 3 skimmers for my JBJ45 aquarium. All 3 have massive microbubble leakage and are very difficult to crack open to ensure they skim the foam consistently and efficiently. After a few weeks they seem to settle down and function normally. My mount broke and the body of the main bubble broke. I can see on my last one that they made a few minor changes but the microbubble problem persists. Leakage from both the connection between the pump and the main chamber and excessive bubbles in the overflow. The sponge on the overflow tube doesn't catch or eliminate the micro-bubbles, so I ended up diverting that flow to another chamber to give the bubbles more time to dissipate before hitting the return pump and gauge portion of the tank. Too bad this is the only skimmer that can replace this tank without major changes because the tank is pretty good but this skimmer is not a winner.
