When I first received these screens I thought they were excellent. They matched my sink perfectly, were beautiful and useful. However, over time, they became moldy and slimy. I don't have a dishwasher; I have to hand wash my clothes. I actually hand washed them but the mold kept growing and I couldn't get rid of it. Then my drains stink. If you have a dishwasher you can often run it to sterilize, this is highly recommended. If you hand wash clothes, you should periodically soak them in Clorox bleach or another sterilizing solution. Solutions like these aren't always good for you or the environment, so I'd end up recommending looking into an alternative kitchen sink filter.
