The unit is a little less flimsy than the Hobest unit I bought as a replacement, but still relatively rubbish. He would NOT play a DVD I gave him (giving the wrong country code and without me fixing it) and read less than half the CDs I tried. The only good thing I can say about it is that it has a feature that lets you manually eject discs it can't eject (which I'm pretty good at after all) and send it back for a refund, which was no problem was carried out. FTR, I bought an Apple Superdrive that works great.
