Direct Replacement Fits and appears to work. It hurts to change, best I can tell you. Drain the liquid. Take 2 extra long extension cords universally wrapped in electrical tape to hold them. Remove the wheel on the driver's side, insert the rack post, you can get both screws. Use the magnet to get them. Once you've removed the lower hose from the radiator, you can use standard pliers to pull it down to access the spring clip. Then pull the thermostat up and out. Put the new one back in place, put a piece of tape sticky side out inside the socket and then wrap the extra one around the socket, this should be just right to get the top screw back into the bottom one, it is simple but same . Buy some worm gear clamps. The spring clip on the thermostat is a nightmare without special tools, the clip on mine broke which made it more fun before I gave up and ran to the store. I also drained my wheel from the bottom hose, the refill was just over 2 gallons, maybe a liter more. (No, unless you use a magnet to loosen the screws and try to pull them out. If you drop them, just remove the pan, it'll get stuck in a place you can't see with it.)
