I got them because they are adjustable but they are very well made out of strong thick metal. My friend didn't have to adjust it too much so he could bend it enough with his hand, but for myself I had to use heavy duty pliers to get it moving. It feels great and isn't too thick for fingers, and the metal isn't sharp as some reviews claim. The engraving is sharp and well toned and I have worn it constantly since receiving it, including in the shower and it has no chips, rust, fading, green spots etc.
