What doesn't have an internet connection these days? My TV has it, my XBOX has it, my receiver has it, the last thing I need is another device connected to the internet. The low price of this Blu-ray player drew me in - I needed a basic 3D Blu-ray player and nothing more. It's great for that - it plays DVDs, Blu-rays and Audio CDs quickly, quietly, accurately and without fuss. It's easy to use and has a pretty nice interface. The remote is obscenely small, but I still use the universal remote from the receiver. Simple connections (HDMI and USB only) make things easier. The ability to play content from a USB stick, is a welcome feature. I really can't complain. If you want Roku, buy Roku. If you want a no-frills 3D Blu-ray player, buy this tip. When setting up this Blu-ray player, be sure to enter the setting menu and increase the sound output quality. For some reason I don't know, the default setting is 48kHz, increase it to 192kHz and you'll see an improvement in sound quality.
