Review on 🔴 DEWALT DW088K: Red Beam Cross Line Self-Leveling Line Laser for Accurate Alignment by Jesse Francilme

I have several laser levels but I mostly use the Dewalt DW088K. I love this laser level. It is very easy to use and projects a single horizontal or vertical beam (OR BOTH, hence Cross Line) over 100 feet indoors and comes with a blown plastic carrying case, an adjustable magnetic wall mount and a well-written instruction manual. The laser itself is self-leveling and has LED indicators to show when it is level. The build quality of this laser is typical DeWalt and is solid and durable. I've had my laser for over a year now and it has been dropped, stepped on, down stairs and closets and still works great. My main use for this laser is to align light fixtures, speakers and alarm sensors on ceilings. I also use it to hang TVs, pictures and more recently wall tiles, crown molding and even frames. Disadvantages: The only disadvantage of this laser level is that it does not allow you to lock the laser beam in a predetermined position, for example an angled slope for stair railings. I have a CST 360º laser level that allows me to BLOCK the last beam in a certain position, even if it's not level. This is useful when you need to adjust an existing baseboard or floor line that has not been leveled, or on a patio deck when you need a slope. You can do this with the DeWalt DW088K by measuring a straight line below the level, but some laser levels, like my CST, can LOCK in position, which can be helpful. 98% of the time you won't need this feature so the DeWalt DW008K works great in this case but if you do need this feature. This may not be the best laser level for you. I would deduct 1/2 star for not being able to fix the laser position. As mentioned, I have three laser levels, but if I had to choose just one. this is the one i would leave Highly recommended. I would buy this again
