I had to run an AL (7075-T6) with a Harbor Freight Mini grinder and it worked well. It had some chatter, but that's to be expected from double-edged routers anyway. I had to pull out a 1.25 inch deep pocket and down to the bottom of the pocket the chatter got a little worse but nothing serious. This is also to be expected from a tailor of this type. to allow the cutter to cut through its own chips as much as possible, and that helped. The finish was good enough for my needs, but I have a 4-tooth end mill, so I removed another .001" to smooth the surface even more, but then again. , it wasn't really necessary.
