Review on Eccotemp EM-4.0 Electric Mini Tank Water Heater - 4.0-Gallon Capacity by Lamar Marshall

Bought this on the recommendation of my builder/plumber to install with a new sink that sits at the opposite end of the house (floor below) diagonally from the water heater. So I didn't want to wait 2-4 minutes to get hot water. It works well, definitely quiet, plug and play was very easy. The only downside is that I underestimated how small 4 gallons really are. I set the water temp just below max and only get hot/warm water for about 1-2 minutes before noticing a distinct chill going almost completely cold. I use a good faucet with a spray hose, I highly doubt it will go anywhere near 4 GPM, probably closer to 1.5-2. So it's not clear why hot water runs out so quickly. If you have the space, I recommend purchasing a larger capacity heater if you plan on using hot running water for more than 1-2 minutes at a time. But it warms up quickly.
