Excellent vise for small jobs. Its size allows me to do about 90% of what I want to do in my garage workshop. From time to time I find a space that is too big. With the multi-purpose jaws from Bessey, you can work on small pieces of wood without damaging the workpiece. I installed my Fox on the 2x6x18 inch end. a good quality piece of wood (probably 18 inches). This allows me to clamp a vise in one of the vises for my woodworking table top. That and a 1/8 inch piece of protective board to cover part of the wood bench surface and I rebuild my wood bench in metal without fear of damaging the surface.
