Color performance is definitely better than the display it replaced, although it's definitely more yellow straight out of the box. I calibrated it several times using DisplayCAL and ended up getting more neutral white and contrast to match my laptop's internal display. However, even at 100%, the display is significantly darker than expected. I went back and checked but the specs were nowhere on the product page so I checked the specs list on ViewSonic's website and found it was only 250 nits (which unfortunately is only half of my internal display). I wouldn't buy it if I knew, but perhaps I wouldn't need to check the manufacturer's specs on their website to find such a basic and important spec.
