Lots of sanding, mostly with DA and an oscillating spindle sander. However, I do go through quite a bit of sandpaper. When sanding coated (e.g. varnished, urethane) wood I use a stick which of course quickly clogs the paper. The cleaning result depends on the old coating. Economically reasonable. I pay about $0.2 for a disc, about $1 for a drum case. So the breakeven point is around 75 discs or 15 sleeves. The stick lasts much longer. I have a larger size, I think it's 2" x 2" x 12". I've added some before and after photos for illustration.
