I wish I had ordered this a long time ago, it would have saved me a lot of money on sanding drum sanding belts. This works great for cleaning your sanding pads and drum sanding belts and removes clogged dirt from all abrasives. You can use them again and again without throwing away sanding pads and belt sanders and drum sanding belts, saving you money. They clean sanding belts really fast. Sanding resinous wood (pine, spruce) loads the belt relatively quickly; They burn wood instead of chopping it. This will remove all traces of dirt and the belt will work like new again. Most belts are still good; They're just laden with sticky sawdust. This removes it within seconds. My first try with this was holding the stick perpendicular to the belt, although all the pics here suggest going into a corner. A direct approach to the tape will cause the rod to bend and become ineffective. So when I went in at an angle of about 25-30 degrees, this cleaning wand worked wonders. I'm very glad I got this and it seems like it's going to be a while before I need another one of these. My grinders are like new again! This product is highly recommended!

I had a 400 square foot deck with several coats of paint that needed to be removed. I bought a dozen sanding belts hoping this would be enough as the paint was clogging the belts. Lots of sanding, mostly with DA and an oscillating spindle sander. However, I do go through quite a bit of sandpaper. When sanding coated (e.g. varnished, urethane) wood I use a stick which of course quickly clogs the paper. The cleaning result depends on the old coating. Economically reasonable.
