Review on πŸ’Ό CUIUIC Portable Monitor: The Ultimate Travel Companion with Ultrawide Screen and HD Clarity by Bill Hasanuddin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Clear picture, easy installation with additional functions

First impression, it's heavier than other screens I've tried. The thickness is not the same everywhere. Where the male connectors are, they're thicker, allowing this monitor to use a regular HDMI connector instead of mini or micro HDMI like the others. It has 2 USB-C ports (one for power), 1 USB-A port, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, a power button and volume buttons. The power button acts as a MENU button to change monitor settings. Long press to power on, short press for menu. The kit also includes a foam carrying case for the monitor. And a cell phone/tablet stand that can be adjusted at different angles. One feature I found interesting is the built in kickstand. It folds down from the back of the screen and I love that nice touch. Another nice feature was that when the drawing tablet was plugged into the USB-C port, I could plug it into the USB-A port on this monitor for use over a monitor connection. Laptops tend to have multiple USB ports and this was a welcome surprise feature, allowing me to have enough ports without using a hub. This monitor's speakers are of similar quality to standard laptop speakers. I hooked it up to both HDMI and USB with no issues. C for my Linux systems. The picture is sharp and clear. This is due to the Freesync technology, which allows you to improve the visual effects in games under certain circumstances. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on how well it works. I have used this monitor for mapping and video editing. Since you don't have to switch between virtual desktops and/or open windows, it simplifies and speeds up your workflow. I am very happy with the performance of this monitor.
