After watching a million YouTube videos about tools, I decided to dive in. I wanted to make a jig with a straight edge. I was lucky enough to stumble upon some really good pallet wood and some at great prices at my local lumber store. Assembly was easy, but to be honest it took me a while to figure out how to attach the clamps. My clamps didn't come with instructions. So I went back to YouTube and found a few videos with pretty good instructions. (I have pretty fat fingers, by the way, so it took me a second to install the screws until I was a little more comfortable). After everything was assembled, the clamps worked like clockwork. The tree didn't move when I ran it through the table saw. I was able to make adjustments on the fly but noticed that the screws loosen from time to time. I just started paying more attention to everything and it worked. Another note worth mentioning. When preparing the clamp, be sure to pay attention to the clamp and the wood (spacing) as you can easily force and bend the clamp if it needs to be closed. I would recommend this item to anyone trying to improve their woodworking skills. In addition, these clamps have many other uses.
