The product is well made, it is made of very hard hard plastic, which should withstand the environment very well, like any other plastic. I'm sure direct sunlight can affect aggregates with another impossible reliability. This is not a detriment to the facility as almost anything made out of plastic that is exposed to the elements will have a problem or potential problem at some point. It comes with a remote control, with a battery that also turns on and off. Each individual fork means that the numbers one, two and three equal three forks. They work quite a distance, I've noticed up to 25 feet. There were no problems installing them at all. This would be an ideal situation for outdoor spotlights, Christmas lights and possibly water pumps and the like that could probably be used from a remote location. Prossolid plastic is easy to read and use from the console, no instructions required. A remote control is enough. A fairly affordable price is around $10 for a plug plus remote. I was surprised that only one remote is included as the remote uses three connectors and chances are you could end up with the remotes in multiple places. It's not a huge hurdle, but it would be nice because it's not a cheap device and an extra remote would definitely come in handy. I can't get them off the price because it's close enough and they know very well what's included. Definitely worth buying and this company is well built, they seem to make other types of remotes and different types of plugs and they all seem pretty reliable, would highly recommend.
