I bought my wife a ROOFULL external CD/DVD drive because her new laptop didn't have its own drive. When the record arrived I saw that it was well packaged so it could be delivered undamaged. The connection was a simple plug and play deal. The laptop immediately accepted the drive and I started using the device within seconds of plugging in the USB connection. It wasn't quiet, but that was ok considering the great price. The first time I loaded a very large program into the laptop very quickly and after some use it's still working fine.
