3 year update buy it now don't waste time looking elsewhere. This is the best bang for my buck ever. I abuse this grinder and only now do I notice that the foam pad is wearing down a bit. The engine and looks are still great and I think I can replace the foam pad. Update: 2 years later and a ton of heavy use later this thing still works. I use this an average of 2 hours a week sanding fiberglass and carbon fiber. Motors don't like this stuff. But it's still ok and the velcro pad is even in great condition. I would have spent $100 on this product but luckily only paid $30. I got out of this shit too. It's not a baby or good care. I throw it in my tool box at the end of the day and it takes all the abuse. Given the price, I'm amazed this thing still works. I bought it 8 months ago and used it to restore a GRP rowing boat. Sand down the paint and old fiberglass, sand down the new fiberglass repair, prep the whole body for painting and I've just started another fiberglass/carbon fiber repair and it's still working great. In a previous project, my much more expensive orbiter's motor died and couldn't handle carbon fiber. This grinding machine has already completed two glass projects. I'm excited.
