Reliable stand! for car racks and trunks
After using the foam blocks on about 6 trips they broke and didn't help me in the Kansas cross winds. So I went for a more permanent solution and got these Malone Big Foots. The setup worked great on a 2010 Town and Country minivan with a factory roof rack. And when we returned home for 5 hours in a 30-40 mph crosswind these racks held the canoe in place. I stopped several times and waited to tighten the straps, but they were just as tight as they were at the start of the trip. I expect the little foam pads on these frames will wear out over time, but they should last a very long time. In addition, there is a lifetime guarantee. Was very surprised at how well he held our 17ft old town penobscot canoe. Now I'm not worried about traveling in our canoe.
