I'm sure if I were in a completely silent room and hooked this up to a sound system with a thousand cumbersome buttons it would all work fine. However, it is not suitable as a replacement for a cheap microphone from the 90s/00s; As my title suggests, given its sensitivity, this is both too much and too little. I can clearly pick up the stream on the laptop next to me (2.3ft from the mic on the side) and a clear, steady beat of the background track from the speakers behind it (1ft), but manage to lose half of what I'm saying (2-3 feet in the direction he is facing).
