A fingernail under the edge can lift the flap up and in the opposite direction of the tape. IT IS CRUCIAL that you don't put the brakes on this little flapper. This is irreparable. The lens cable will not be fixed if the cover breaks, so be careful. This is the camera's only weak point. I still gave 5 stars because the connector is common in the PCB world.
