My computer didn't have a built in port for a high speed USB connection which, thanks to the USB Consortium, has so many names it makes me dizzy trying to remember them all ( USB 3.1 Gen 2 , SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps, Superspeed Plus USB, Enhanced SuperSpeed, SuperSpeed+, .). I wanted to be able to use the latest USB devices at the currently highest 3.1 speed (10 Gbps instead of 5 Gbps), so the answer was to add more ports with a PCIe card. The card looks well made and includes a heat sink. to help him walk cool. Easy to install and use. I haven't taken the time to officially measure the speed, but using it with some high-speed USB devices has given excellent results (USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 RAID, high-speed compact flash card readers, etc.). All offer very fast access.
