I am 5'7" and 155lbs with a 30-31" waist, I normally wear between a M and a L. I ordered this in a L and it fit as expected, I might have been able to size down to a M because the bust was a bit loose.I absolutely love the bright colored print on this fabric. This was fairly comfortable to wear as well, I didn't find the smocking to be itchy or anything. This was a lot longer than I expected, I was thinking this was going to be more of a mini dress. So the length is a personal preference; this is a great length if you don't want to wear it over bike shorts or leggings. I personally like to get mini dresses to wear over bike shorts with pockets in the summer, so I have some pocket space.this dress would be awkwardly long to wear like that.I am dropping a star on this because of how cheap the dress feels. This is made of a fairly thin polyester with a bit of a sheen to it and if you look at it up close it looks cheap. It also feels cheap, not soft and silky but more slightly plasticy against your skin. There is no lining here either so the dress picks up static and clings a lot. I had to wet it down for the pictures so it wasn't wrinkled up against my legs. Lastly there are no pockets here. I thought dresses with pockets were the new norm!It's a cute dress and I love the print and the style is cute. However, the fabric, lack of lining and pockets make it tough for me to love. I am on the fence about whether or not I will keep it. It seems pricey for the quality.
