Cables may or may not work

I bought four of these for my new KVM switch. Back then I only had three laptops, so I kept one. I just used the latter and you know what? It doesn't work and now it's too late to go back. If you're going to buy, I recommend you try everything before you put it down. The ones that have worked are working well. But at $60 each (at the time of purchase) I feel a little cheated.
