I use this pump to water my 1200 square foot garden. The garden is about 30 meters from the pond. I'm afraid that the pond pollution will damage the pump, so I plug the inlet with a filter, connect a hose and throw it in the pond. The cable is very long so I don't have to worry about it being too short to connect the battery. That works great. Not a big pump, but strong for its size. I suppose if the sun is strong enough you can also buy solar panels to replace the battery. Very convenient to use. Worth buying.
