Update (10/12/21): I had the opportunity to test this charger on my 24V battery and the results were disappointing. This is advertised as a 240W charger which is 24V at 10A; On the 10A setting, the maximum current I measured on the charging cable (both positive and negative) barely exceeded 6.0A. At 24V, that's 144W (Watts), not the advertised 240W! Downgrading to 1 star is not recommended. Summary: I've looked at some new chargers in the past, but these are the first 24 volts (the rest were 6 and/or 12 volts). There were several other Vine offerings, and while it was twice the price ($60 vs. $30), I chose it because of the higher charge current (10A at 24V vs. 5A at 24V). I will be using this on a 24 volt solar panel first. Observations: Your grandfather's old car charger was "dumb" in the sense that it had no logic, it just pumped power into your battery at maximum voltage and current, which works in most situations. This charger is rated for 12/24V (some chargers are dual voltage 6/12V) and has a maximum current of 10A at 24V or 15A at 12V and a lower setting of 8/5A (24/ 12V). AT) . The AC cord is 9ft long and the red and black DC side is 3ft long and terminates in an XT60 (60A) connector. Recommendation: read the instructions, especially the warning about the connection sequence; You don't want to leave the charger in lithium mode and then connect it to a lead-acid battery that could cause damage. Advantages: 1) Lithium (LiFePo4) charger, 2) Intelligent smart charger, 3) High quality battery clamps with strong springs, 4) Detachable cables. Cons: Cost, high end of the price range for a 12/24V lithium capacity charger. Conclusion: At the current price of €60, the rating is 4 stars (value) and I will update the rating as soon as I have the opportunity to use it more often.
