Slim. Not as thick as expected.
I expected them to be thick cardboard. You are cardboard. I could carve them with my Cricut. They are cute but definitely not worth the money. More like dollar store stars. And the threads are very short. We ended up hanging them from the bottom of the paper lanterns instead of the ceiling tiles, otherwise we would have had to add another rope.
