You will need to go through the fender to easily access this sensor. Slide the red latch back, press and release. Use a 3/4" socket to remove and install and you're done. Note. I did a coolant flush and thermostat replacement at the same time as replacing the sensor and there were air bubbles in my cooling system. Be sure to purge air from the system as your car will give out codes that would lead you to believe this sensor is faulty. After blowing off all the air and clearing the codes everything was perfect and working as it should again.
