Worked great on my 2012 JK

Worked great on my 2012 JK. Don't forget to bring some fender flare clips if you reuse your stock clips. The replacement took about 20 minutes, including removing the wing, replacing a part, and reinstalling the wing.

JK 2008 FIX P1607: Sensors

Wife had 2008 JK code P1607. Most JK forums have stated that the solution is to replace the coolant sensor. This fix is my wife's P1607. It wasn't an exact OEM match, but it did fit and work. Edit: Took a little over a year before it went bad. I decided to go through a network of car dealerships as they gave a lifetime guarantee.

NOT for 2016 Jeep Wrangler!

Revane says this ECT fits my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara V6 but it doesn't. At least not where I need it. So the bad rating isn't for the role, it's for Revain. The thread on the TX195 (this one) is too big for my motor. So I went to the local O'Reilly store and bought the TX259 that fits me. Installed and went. But now I have to send the TX195 back to Kohls Revain, what a hassle :(.

Pros
  • Great build

2012 Jeep Wangler JK

You will need to go through the fender to easily access this sensor. Slide the red latch back, press and release. Use a 3/4" socket to remove and install and you're done. Note. I did a coolant flush and thermostat replacement at the same time as replacing the sensor and there were air bubbles in my cooling system. Be sure to purge air from the system as your car will give out codes that would lead you to believe this sensor is faulty. After blowing off all the air and clearing the codes…

Direct Replacement for Wrangler 2013

This is a direct replacement for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Temperature Sensor. The only thing I want to warn about is that this element is located behind the left front fender. You must pull out the insert to get to the sender. Removing the fender liner means removing a few bolts and then literally ripping off the left front fender (to which the fender liner is permanently attached). All of this can be done without damaging the fender or fender liner. There is a video online that describes the…
