I just bought my first set of soft jaws. I've always used homemade aluminum vise jaws in the past and they work most of the time, but for softer items I chose to order these soft vise jaws from Trisence. They listed so many different strains to choose from I thought they knew what they were doing. I like it; The magnets fit in my vise and don't fall off when I rotate them. As a test, I put some medium-hard wood in and tightened it, there were no more marks on it. Most of my work will be related to tools and other projects so they should work with whatever I need which is flat. I plan to buy another set of pre-cut grooves for the support bar and round stock so they don't move on me. For my use they will work fine.
