I have not idea why whenever I use these mats my iron has like a sticky residue on it. I have to literally scrap it off. I do not use starch or anything other than water to press fabrics. I only use cotton fabric and I have yet to figure out why.I have wrote customer service and tried to contact through Ebay to no avail.I would try a different vendor and hope that you dont have the same problems I do.
