Review on 💦 USA-Made HydroCheck HC8000T: Advanced Timed Sump Pump Controller by David Hansen

I love everything about the Zoeller M53 submersible pump except the float switch design. The water level range is too low due to the fixed switch design, and the pump starts pumping more often than it should. temporary version of the HC8000) and I can safely say that this is the PERFECT companion for the Zoeller M53 and the easiest and safest use with this pump. With a few adjustments, this HC8000T lets you set essentially any water level you want the pump to turn on, but then rely on a Zoeller float switch to turn the unit off without the pump priming like the HC8000. The trick with this device is to IGNORE the instructions that tell you to keep the float switch on the pump itself constantly high, and instead set the timing to run just a few seconds longer after the pump's float switch stops the pump turned itself off. This gives you the perfect combination of adjustable pump on time and respecting the pump's desire to turn off at the desired water level. This fixes my main problem with the HC8000 (not the T) which would run too long and the pump would pull air. the pump has stopped working. I thought this was a big mistake in my thinking BUT the device allows you to turn off individual alarms! After the first beep to turn off the pump, simply press and hold the smart button on the HC8000T for about 5 seconds to permanently turn off the pump. Set the HC8000T this way with any pump that has a non-adjustable float. A switch like the Zoeller M53 solves almost all of my problems and gives you the perfect level of customization, reliability, and security. I couldn't be happier with this setup.
